武蔵国昭富は大東亜戦末期に陸軍受命刀匠として活躍しました。埼玉県出身。本名は小谷野昭富です。栗原昭秀の門人で大変腕前のよい人でした。
本作は珍しく海軍の需要で鍛えられた刀です。外装の保存状態がよろしいのでマニアにお薦めしたい逸品です。尉官の刀緒がついております。ご存じのように陸軍刀と違い海軍刀は現存品が少なく綺麗に残るものは非常に貴重です。お探しのお客様はお見逃しなくお願いします。刀身の研磨は古い頃の様子ですが、錆など見当たりませんので手をかけることなく所蔵が可能です。
